Drawn to Washington from arid Kansas by the green trees and beautiful waterways, Hallie is a dedicated naturalist and garden-based educator with over seven years in the field.

Hallie's story includes two years educating at a wetlands nature center in Colorado before migrating west to work for WSU Extension doing outreach to farmers about compost & soil health. Her agriculture experience collided with her passion for educating kids at Oxbow - a farm & conservation center where Hallie played a lead role in inviting thousands of kiddos to experience food, farming and nature connection. When the pandemic hit in spring 2020, she brought 25 consecutive weeks of veggies to Green Plate Special to pack out for grocery distribution and helped spark a collaborative partnership between the organizations.

Hallie has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, and is a certified Environmental Educator from the Colorado Alliance for EE (CAEE). She produces educational films, enjoys camping with friends, and cooks & eats with the seasons. She is an active environmentalist who believes that food education can build community strength, even when challenges come our way. She brings games, stories, inquiry, and a nature connection activities to GPS. She hopes to foster joyous learning, community building and FUN for all who visit.
