Ethiopian Beets
Ingredients:
- 6lb Beets
- 5lb Carrot
- 1 large Onion
- ¼ Tsp. Black pepper
- ¼ Tsp. Garlic powder
- ¼ Tsp. Ginger powder
- ¼ Tsp. Ground cumin
- 1 Tsp. Salt
- 3 Tbs. Oil
Make it:
- Peel and chop the beets and carrots. Slice yellow onions
- Heat pot. Put the beets in the pot and let it cook
- Add the chopped carrots and let it cook
- Add the sliced onions
- Stir and let it cook.
- After everything in the pot appears purple (the color of the beets) and the beets/ carrots are cooked, add the black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, and ground cumin.
- Taste test, and add as necessary
