Ingredients:

  • 5.5 Cups Chana Dal Beans
  • 3 large Yellow onions
  • 2 Tbs. Cayenne
  • 2 Tbs. Berberae
  • 2 Tbs. Paprika
  • ½ Tsp. Black pepper
  • ½ Tsp. Garlic powder
  • ½ Tsp. Ginger powder
  • ½ Tsp. Ground cumin
  • 1 Tbs. Salt
  • 1 cup Oil

Make it:

  1. Boil Chana Dal Beans
  2. Mince onion and cook it in a separate pot for 10 minutes.
  3. Add oil to the onions.
  4. Once the onions have fully cooked, add Cayenne, paprika, and berbere spices. Stir.
  5. Add boiled water to the onions then stir.
  6. Once the chana dal beans have fully cooked, add it to the pot of onions.
  7. Stir thoroughly until fully cooked.
  8. Add black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, ground cumin, and salt. Stir.
  9. Taste and add as needed.

Notes: This will require 2 stoves and boiled water.
