Ingredients
Whole Milk/Coconut milk – 4 cups
Rice – ½ cup rinsed
Cashews - ¼ cup diced
Raisins - ¼ cup
Sliced Almonds - ¼ cup
Ground Cardamom - ½ tbsp
Sugar - 3 tbsp (as taste)
Saffron – ½ tbsp
Pistachio nuts (optional) - ¼ cup diced
Steps
1. In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
2. Add rice, cashew, almonds, raisins, pistachio nuts and simmer over low heat until the mixture thickens, and the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.
3. Add cardamom powder and saffron. Cook for 2 minutes.
4. Adjust the sweetness. Let it cool.
5. Serve chilled the next day.
