Grant Nguyen joined Green Plate Special Board of Directors in October 2019. He is a Data Analyst at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, supporting teams funding local and national education work. Prior to this, Grant conducted global disease burden research at the Institute for Health Metrics of Evaluation. Grant has enjoyed being involved in education through past experience facilitating a college preparation program with College Possible Washington at Roosevelt High School, leading outdoor trips with the YMCA BOLD/GOLD program, and volunteering as a GED tutor at the King County Correctional Facility. Outside of work, Grant enjoys long walks with his dog, Jupiter, playing in the outdoors, and making sweet treats for friends.
