Meet our Youth Interns: Sarah

Sarah is 14 and going into 9th grade at Garfield. Originally from San Diego, CA she moved to Seattle in 2014 and she has found that she likes the rain and trees better than the beach.

Sarah’s favorite vegetables are beets. She loves to cook and her favorite dish to make is Pad Thai. Sarah’s favorite subject in school is science and she did a symposium project on the economic and health effects of GMOs on both producers and consumers last spring.

Sarah is still pretty green (pun intended) to the organization (Green Plate Special), but with her passion for good food with good ingredients, she’s super excited to work with GPS. When she’s not working at the farm stand, you can find Sarah poking around a vintage store, baking, or cuddling with her pet snake, Squishy.
