Chef James Drohman and Joanne Herron, owners of Café Presse and Le Pichet have contributed to Green Plate Special in many ways. Their restaurant, Cafe Presse, on the south side of Capitol Hill, is a consistent favorite for me with its comfortable French country-style food and urban atmosphere. Love the Steak-Frites!
They have generously given their May “Corner Table” dinner (a monthly event) as an informational and benefit event for us. All proceeds will go to Green Plate Special’s youth programming. The cost is $55 per person, which includes wine selected by Cafe Presse wine director Marcel Boulanger, as well as tax and tip.
Enjoy a 4 course seasonal menu presented in the traditional style one might be served if invited to the home of a French family. I (Laura) will talk briefly about what we are doing and prepare the menu including produce grown by our students.
