Work Party & Youth Programming Event for the Neighborhood
Saturday April 28th
11am to 3pm
We are combining this event with:
The Community Alliance for Global Justice’s Food Justice Hike-A-Thon
GPS is on their map route along with other local businesses and gardens

Your time on the property will:
Help us prepare for our summer youth-programming
Continue our neighborhood outreach
Help us create the template for some vertical gardening
Make new introductions
Introduce you to the groups involved
Introduce you to our rain garden and why it’s so important
Programming for the youth will include:
Planting of seeds and starts
Beautification of the garden with painting projects
Decorating our new back-gate
Planting more flowers
Adding mulch to the rain garden
Bring:
Children or Youth between ages 8-18
Work or Garden gloves (we do have a good amount to share)
Empty 1-gallon milk or water jugs (for summer irrigation needs)
Sustainable Seattle will be providing snacks!
As usual there will be coffee, plenty of cold water and the opportunity for new friendships and connections!
